Premiere Report
 |
| The local Houston Christian radio station, 89.3 FM KSBJ,
brought a remote to the theater to promote the film. |
I
am very pleased to report that STERLING's opening weekend
was a great success. Our premiere on Thursday night drew such
a
good crowd, that we were turning people away at the box office.
My apologies for all those who couldn't get in the first night.
I know many people drove good distances to get there.
But this is a good problem to have!

the STERLING poster. |
We
received a standing O at the end of the film, and I invited all
the cast up to the front to take a bow, and they all received
a standing O as well. The people made
several comments about how amazed they were that our cast had
no prior acting experience. I am very proud of all of our cast.
They did a superb job.
On
Saturday morning, we had another show scheduled for 11am. I heard
reports of many groups who were planning to come, but couldn't
make it because of other

things
that came up. But I was very pleased to hear that we had over
200 in attendance.
I
took the mic to answer questions after both shows. Many
people were very impressed with the underscore by Rob Powers.
Rob did a fantastic job on this film, and I couldn't have asked
for better music. Several people were asking if a soundtrack
would be available. I
was very pleased at the amount of people who wanted to know what
they
could do
to
help
the film.
The answer
is to
keep coming to the screenings and tell others to come too!
 |
| After
the premiere, the cast took a bow. |
After
both shows, the cast signed autographs outside the theater and
everyone had a great time.
The
owner of the theater was so impressed, he offered to run the
film for a week in July, but we have not set the dates yet. When
we do, we will post the info here. Come back to the website often
to find out all the latest info.
Thank
you again to all those who came to our opening weekend. We can
only make this film a success with your support and prayers.
